FAQ & JEWELLERY CARE

Rachel Boston Jewellery is designed and created to meet with the highest standards of quality in mind. All pieces are hand made in Rachel’s workshop in London Fields, East London using both modern and traditional making techniques.

MAINTENANCE TIPS:
-Handwash, perfumes, chlorine, detergents, and oils can all cause tarnishing and damage to the surface finish. Apply scents or cosmetics before you put on any jewellery.
-If jewellery comes in to contact with water gently dry with a soft cloth to avoid risk of tarnishing.
-Gold-plated jewellery can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a very soft toothbrush. Then rinse thoroughly and dry well.
-Do not wear jewellery whilst swimming, bathing, showering, doing household tasks or whilst exercising.
-Brighten up your piece by using a soft cleaning cloth. In the case of silver you can buy special silver cleaning solutions
which can breathe life in to a piece that has lost shine with wear. Make sure you follow the instructions.
-Store your jewellery separately, so it doesn’t rub and scratch against each other.
- Do not store jewellery in a place where it could get damp or hot as it will cause the jewellery to tarnish.
-Gold-plate will fade over time depending on wear and the amount of care taken. At Rachel Boston Jewellery we offer a re-conditioning service to make sure your jewellery can stay in pristine condition. If you are interested in using this service please email sales@rachelboston.co.uk with the subject ‘Re-conditioning’to get more information on pricing and services we offer.

LATE AND LOST DELIVERIES

If your delivery has been delayed, then please contact us and we will provide you with the tracking number to enable you to chase it up with the Royal Mail.

International delivery - When items are sent to another country, your parcel is often handled by more than one postal service. When we send a parcel abroad, the actual delivery of the item will be the responsibility of the postal service in the country the items are going to. Delays can often be caused by customs checks, which can sometimes take up to 1-2 weeks.

Items not received but tracked as being delivered - This frequently happens when items are delivered to places of work. In some cases, your item might have been delivered to a post room or colleague within your company and someone else will have signed for it. In these cases for a small charge, you can request a proof of delivery certificate from Royal Mail (www.royalmail.com) by filling in a signature request form. Please note that we do not refund or replace items that are tracked as being delivered. For this reason, we always recommend that you get items delivered to your home address.

Rachel Boston Jewellery cannot be held responsible for goods that are lost or delayed in transit.
