You’ve chosen the outfit, and now it’s time to accessorise. Jewellery has the power to transform, so finding pieces that accentuate or tie together different aspects of your outfit can have a big impact. If you aren’t sure where to begin, here’s 5 key things to consider.

1. THE NECKLINE
Begin at the neckline - there are many clues here about what jewellery will complement your outfit. Keep a classic square or sweetheart neckline clean by opting for earrings or a delicate diamond choker-style necklace.

For a more graphic gown or suit with a plunging neckline, something bolder like a chunky choker or chain would work well in the space created by the neckline. For a high neckline, a statement bracelet or larger earrings could also work really nicely, adding nice detail without detracting from the overall effect of the clothes.

2. YOUR PERSONAL STYLE
Celebrate your personal style in the jewellery you choose for your wedding day - if you love hoops, wear them! If layered necklaces are your thing, incorporate them into your outfit!

There are no hard and fast rules here - we’re seeing a changing trend towards brides being more adventurous with their jewellery which is really exciting. While there can be a concern for choosing something that feels classic, it's ultimately more important that it feels like you.

3. HARMONISING
Jewellery is a beautiful way to tie your on-the-day outfit together. Take direction from existing accessories in your look, like a pop of colour that could be echoed in your jewellery, or clean lines that would be well matched by sleek, Art Deco inspired pieces.

4. PLAN AHEAD
If you’re able to try your jewellery on with the full outfit before your wedding, it can be a really helpful way to reduce any stress on the day. If this isn’t possible, Pinterest boards work wonderfully to help you visualise how the final look will work. Find ours here.

5. INVESTMENT PIECES
Opting for high quality pieces that can be reworn many times after your ceremony means that you’ll have a really sweet reminder of the day. It’s the most environmentally conscious approach too - look for recycled metals.
