Do you love engagement rings with a statement double band as much as we do? This style can seem more challenging to pair with a classic wedding band, but with the right direction these less-traditional ring combinations can feel incredibly chic. We’ve compiled our favourite tips for creating the perfect coupling.

SHAPE

Is your double band engagement ring flat across the top and bottom or would it be better suited to a curved wedding band? This will allow your wedding band to sit seamlessly alongside your engagement ring.

TO MATCH, OR NOT TO MATCH

That is the question! Creating distinction between the wedding and engagement ring can be a great opportunity to experiment with finer design details such as the cut of stones, or the finish of the metal. If you’re matching the shape and width of your engagement ring, a matte finish wedding band can feel modern and elegant. Likewise, a slick Emerald Cut engagement ring can be softened by a dusting of Marquise diamonds on the wedding band.

ADDING DIAMONDS

A well-chosen diamond wedding band can draw the eye towards the engagement ring’s central stone. They don’t have to be flashy, and many cuts will bring a more subdued sparkle to an already statement ring. Our Baguette Diamond Band brings an elegant glow to the Frances Ring.

TIMELESSNESS

Things of quality have no fear of time. ~ Unknown

A quote that has been in our minds, and still rings true almost 10 years on from our launch. British craftsmanship is an integral part of each piece we create, and longevity is essential when choosing rings to be worn forever. When designing the ring itself, or choosing a wedding band, mixing traditional with contemporary elements can avoid fixing the rings to one specific style and losing the sense of timelessness.

TRY THEM ON

Wherever possible, we recommend trying wedding bands on with your engagement ring to get a true idea of how they work together and which adjustments can be made to create the perfect fit. For digital consultations, we're always happy to send videos of wedding bands paired with a ring similar to yours for the same effect.

Our showroom is by appointment only so we can give each client our undivided attention. To try our wedding bands on in person, please book a complimentary in-person or digital appointment here.
