March marks International Women’s Day, and this year we’re donating 20% of our March sales from the Memento Ring to Women for Refugee Women.
Women for Refugee Women are a female-led charity helping to empower and give a voice to refugee and asylum-seeking women in the UK.
Since 2012, the number of people worldwide who have been forced to flee their homes has almost doubled (source: UNHCR). It feels more important than ever to be offering support in the best way we know how. Amidst this, Women for Refugee Women have been advocating for a fairer asylum process, to ensure that women who cross the UK border for safety can get a just hearing and can live with liberty and dignity.
To mark International Women's Day themselves, Women for Refugee Women have published their first ever report on the particular experiences of lesbian and bisexual women seeking safety. Read more here.
