Digital & Social Media Manager
We are looking for a creative, motivated individual to join our team as a Digital & Social Media Manager in our office on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch. The ideal candidate is highly organised, adaptable and has a particularly sharp visual eye. An ability to understand and interpret the Rachel Boston vision through creating content that reflects the brand and its strong ethos is essential. This role will begin in early December 2024.
Responsibilities:
As Digital & Social Media Manager, you’ll be in charge of all things digital. This is an exciting role that gives you the space to really fine-tune and round out your creative, brand-building skills. The role is split into three main categories:
Photography:
Photographing and lightly retouching imagery of bespoke pieces to be used on social media, including some simple video clips/reels.
Photographing product imagery of new stock pieces in a light box and liaising with our retoucher.
Ability to organise occasional larger-scale shoots from start to finish with our wider freelancers (photographers, models, make-up artists etc.).
Filming other casual mobile content for reels/TikToks.
Maintaining organisation of our image archive, making sure things are backed up and catalogued into the correct folders in an up-to-date manner.
Social Media:
Responsible for planning, scheduling and posting all social media for the Rachel Boston Instagram (via. Planoly), and TikTok accounts.
Writing copy for each post that is in line with the Rachel Boston tone of voice, typically including informed knowledge of the stones and metals of each piece featured.
Collate, write and schedule occasional newsletters, including a monthly ‘RB News’ featuring recommendations of things to do, eat, read and buy.
Graphic Design:
Creating ad hoc assets such as (but not limited to):
Instagram stories and feed posts
Press catalogues / lookbooks
Promotional assets
Designing and updating new pages on the website, including blog posts, using our custom modular templates.
Desired Experience / Skills:
- Minimum 3 years working in social media, photography, graphic design or other similar fields.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop, InDesign, PremierePro/Rush and Illustrator.
- A sharp eye for composition and visual aesthetics, keeping our imagery and content fresh and interesting.
- Good with language, and an ability to adapt any written copy to the Rachel Boston tone of voice.
- Experience or working knowledge in fine jewellery very beneficial.
- Knowledge of Shopify CRM beneficial.
What We Offer:
This role is: 4 days per week - Monday to Thursday
Contract: Permanent, part-time, with a 3 month trial period.
Competitive annual wage negotiable dependent on experience.
Holiday allowance: 28 days per year, with an additional company Christmas break
