9ct gold jewellery is made from a durable alloyed blend of gold and other metals, offering a timeless and elegant finish. While 9ct gold is more resistant to tarnishing than gold-plated alternatives, it may still develop a natural patina over time.

Tarnishing can be influenced by factors such as exposure to moisture, chemicals, and even individual pH levels, which may cause some pieces to tarnish more quickly. To maintain its shine, we recommend removing your jewellery before bathing, showering, swimming, exercising, or applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion.

Tarnish is easy to remove using a soft jewellery polishing cloth or a gentle gold dip solution. We also offer a polishing service in our showroom to help restore your jewellery's shine. Additionally, we can create custom pieces in 18ct gold upon request. Please email hello@rachelboston.co.uk for a quote in 18ct.
